BRING TOGETHER PASSIONATE STUDENTS
FOSTER COLLABORATION
INSPIRE GROWTH & CONNECTION
We welcome all majors together to design, engineer, and imagine the future of themed entertainment!
In just one semester, we’ve gone from starting up to actively creating, learning, and making our presence known.
Over the course of the semester, we hosted our first General Interest Meeting, took on a design challenge, and started building a community that values creativity and collaboration. Along the way, our work was recognized by Watson and by TEA Next Gen, which was both encouraging and motivating for a club so early in its journey.
This section highlights the recent news and events that reflect who we are right now. We’re just getting started, but we’ve already accomplished a lot, and we are excited to keep building on that momentum.
Our General Interest Meeting marked the official start of our club and brought together students from a wide range of majors who share a passion for themed entertainment. Members got to meet one another, learn about our mission, and explore the kinds of projects, trips, and events we plan to host. It was a welcoming introduction to what TPED is all about and set the tone for the collaborative community we’re building.
The Ride Concept Design Challenge gave members a chance to think like real-world designers and engineers. Working in teams, participants developed original ride concepts for a real park scenario, considering layout, theming, cost, capacity, and market appeal before pitching their ideas to a “client.” The event highlighted creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving, and showed just how much can be accomplished when passion meets imagination.
